It’s getting quiet here. And I am sad. It will take some time for me to realize all that. I am writing down my thoughts here cause I want to tell you how much I love this project and everybody around. Within the past three years Earth.org changed my life in many different ways – I went to India, I met some of the greatest people on earth and we became friends, and I could work on a project which filled my life with a deeper purpose.
For me, Earth.org will still be there! It’s us who are Earth.org. It’s Mathias and Otto who had a unique and admireable idea first and started building a house! It’s the tech team who was so passionate about creating a wonderful architecture for that house! It’s the design team who coloured this house! It’s the marketing team with all their great ideas and creative thoughts! It’s the usabilty team and product developers who built the stairs in this house so that everybody could walk in easily! It’s Anne and her HR team who found and invited the best team you could ever imagine to this house! It’s Coni who made all those beautiful pictures in this house. It’s the dedicated volunteers and helping hands who supported Earth.org all the time. And it’s the Earth.org Travellers who left their footprints at Earth.org!

Yeah, definitely, that was lots of fun. It was tough sometimes. But hell yeah, we had an amazing time together and writing down all that makes me smile again! Thank you all!
Special thanks go to my PR team – girls you did a great job – let’s keep in touch and support each other!

See you around. You are always most welcome to my place in Austria.
Teresa

Hi all, the last two days I had so many really nice – and despite the situation also so positive – talks to you. And these talks make it a bit easier for me to handle this situation. I’m afraid I’ll never work again in such a great environment and with such a great team as I did in the last years with you. I’m really sad that this is all over now, but in the end we had to take this decision. And I think we all grew personally with this project and the project changed ourselfs. So finally even if the website didn’t survive all this will not be useless and it will leave effects also in the long run. Thanks again to all of you!!

We have decided not to continue with Earth.org – with immediate effect.
Some might think why?
We have ten thousands of users visiting the site every month and they have not done what we suggested them to do: Become engaged and contributing users on the open travel guide Earth.org. And spread the news to friends – the growth base for every website. This is the core of our decision – what else shall it be?
Some might think why so soon?
We have been working over years on this website – always with a 100% positive approach. We can either be 100% positive – or we do not work for Earth.org. This was always our thinking. We do not think there is a world in-between.
And now?
We continue to stay positive – this was by far greatest team experience most of us ever had: We see, also after this decisions and our talks to each other, that we enjoyed working on Earth.org, we have had an incredible learning curve and a small universe of pictures and situations pass bye, maybe even and especially because we have been such an international remote team. Thank you team, you were the best – and you will continue to be!
